(Camarillo, CA)—The Gene Haas Foundation generously donated $30,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of Camarillo. This grant will support the Bike Shop Repair Program (BSRP). BSRP is introductory to engineering craftsmanship-style bike clinic. Club members with the help of instructors repair donated bicycles. Then the bicycles are given to members or other kids in the community in need. The repair shop is stocked with new tools and gives members the opportunity to learn hands-on skills from local bike experts to fix bicycles. The bicycle clinic is a two-hour clinic offered 3 days a week for 10-15 kids ages 10-18. The Club anticipates over 200 members will repair and ride bicycles over the course of the year.
