EAA has been working with OLMC School in Herrin, Illinois since 2011. We have provided services for Health/Life Safety reviews and projects including a new walk-in cooler/freezer, replace Gym doors, and design for exterior exit stairs.
In 2014, EAA was selected to provide design services for a new Pre-K through 8th Grade School. Work was recently completed on the 43,000 s.f., single-story school which replaces multiple existing buildings, including the K-5th grade building which is over 60 years old. The design utilizes collaborative teaching rooms and multi-purpose meeting spaces.
The new school also includes a safe room designed to FEMA standards to provide a shelter during severe weather for the entire school.
