The Beltsville Poultry Semen Extender II, containing gentamicin, maintains acceptable fertility of the sperm for up to six hours when used as directed. The temperature of the extender should be at 68 deg F to 77 deg F (20 deg C to 25 deg C) before being mixed with the semen. The recommended extension is 1 to 1.
