TRAX, UTAs light rail system, offers convenient connections to community destinations, shopping centers, schools and universities, FrontRunner stations, bus hubs and Park & Ride lots throughout the Salt Lake valley. TRAX runs seven days per week, with 15-minute frequency during peak times.
TRAX is electrically powered via a pantograph that connects the train to overhead catenary wires. Trains can range in length from one to four cars depending on time, day and projected ridership.
