Becoming a member is a special privilege. Unlike a bank, not everyone can join, but qualifying for membership at Jax Federal Credit Union is relatively easy, and once you’re a member, you’re always a member.
To become a member, you simply open a savings account with at least $5.00 and pay a $5.00 membership fee. At the same time, you can also open a free checking account, apply for a loan, get a credit card, etc. Some products are subject to credit approval.
You will need the following information to open an account:
- U.S. Social Security number
- Driver’s license, state-issued photo ID, US Passport, or current US Military ID.
Please note: If the address on your ID does not match your current address, please provide one form of “proof of residency” documentation showing your current address. Acceptable documents include a utility bill such as gas, water, electric, phone, cable, or your auto insurance card, voters registration card, pay stub, vehicle registration, apartment lease agreement, real estate settlement, social security card or disability letter.
