Whole Child Approach

The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley, in collaboration with Terros Health, has launched the Whole Child Approach program to provide essential behavioral health interventions for youth. This initiative, supported by a unique public-private partnership including three Arizona-based private foundations and federal funding, aims to address the increasing mental health needs among children and teens aged 5-18 in Maricopa and Pinal counties. The program focuses on those in underrepresented communities, those at risk of juvenile justice involvement, or those with an incarcerated parent, and emphasizes support for children under the supervision of the Arizona Department of Child Safety or those experiencing homelessness. By integrating behavioral health services directly within the Clubs, the program seeks to overcome barriers such as transportation, financial constraints, and cultural stigma, thereby promoting overall well-being and success in life.
